- (FIXED) Option G6 is not remembered across MyStuff restarts.
- (FIXED) Option K4 does not affect the display of W icons in Timers by Date.
- If you have CTs for two programmes on the same channel, which are separated only by a short
programme (one which is shorter than the post padding on the first CT plus the pre padding on the
second CT) then previous version of MyStuff would not correctly merge the two timers. The new version
will do so, and it will hide the short program in all Archive views.
- Yet more tweaks for FontManager fonts, especially the narrow ones.
- Bug fixes
- (FIXED) If using AccurateBookmarks, and you start watching a recording that has no bookmark near enough to
its start, MyStuff may instead jump to the start of the next recording in the file.
- (FIXED) Running RecFixer from within the BadFiles folder by pressing OK/Play on a bad file does not work.
- (FIXED) The MyStuff archive may display the number of files in a folder incorrectly (by counting files that
have actually been (part) deleted. Also, the archive may show the disk usage for a folder
incorrectly.
- (FIXED) If you exclude some programmes that match a CT, and then delete that CT, the programmes remain
excluded (so if you later recreate the same - or similar - CT then those programmes will continue
to be excluded).
- (FIXED) On first start, MyStuff displays garbled EPG data for BBC 1, though a manual reload of
EPG data works fine.
- Speed ups to the timer clash resolution screen of the Archive.
- Folder "RecordingFixer" added to the list of possible folders for the RecFixer TAP.
- Faster (and more stable!) stopping of radio playback.
- Sequential playback of radio recordings should now work better.
- The recently changed behaviour in 5.6 of keeping part-viewed recordings when satisfying a CTs Keep
setting is now optional (and defaults to pre 5.6 behaviour).
- Pressing Stop twice on a selection of recordings will now clear the selection after resetting all
- Improved AccurateBookmarking support.
- Slight Archive layout tweaks to better support FontManager.
- AccurateBookmarking support for radio recordings removed. Will be added back in the next version.
- Bug fixes
- (FIXED) Start watching BBC1. Start playback of a recording. Enter EPG. Press record on current
BBC1 program, record dialog box appears, but once you press OK it doesn't record.
- (FIXED) Pressing Mute then Vol+ (or Vol-) resets the volume to 0, rather than to the pre Mute volume.
- (FIXED) Descriptions in Australian 5000 recordings with no mei files are incorrect.
- (FIXED) Displaying Extended Now & Next with 21 lines or more and Extra Gap Below N&N (B2) set to Yes crashes.
- (FIXED) If Display N&N on Channel Change (B3) is set to No, and you start MyStuff, then start
playback of a recording, and then press ExInfo then the ExtendedInfo box is not displayed.
- ProgramFiles\TapLauncher added to list of locations MyStuff will use to try to find RecordingFixer.tap
- New option to control the action when MyStuff changes to a channel that is currently being recorded
- When listing the files in the same merge as the selected file, the ExtendedInfo box will now
add "- deleted" to the name of any part of that merge which has already been deleted.
- MyStuff will modify its behaviour if it detects firmware patches installed (Xp, B2, B4, I).
- Toppy roundels hidden after MyStuff volume bar is displayed and then hidden (even if Q6 is No).
- It is now possible to navigate past No Information cells in the EPG and the ExtendedInfo box.
- Moving left or right from Recordings by Date/Name when you have a folder selected will try to
select the first timer/CT that matches any recording within that folder.
- Changed behaviour of Yellow and Green in N&N and DCList views, so that the selected event remains
displayed on the same row, rather than jumping to the top or bottom.
- Pressing Green on a merged recording in the Archive will switch to an Archive view showing all other
parts (deleted and non-deleted) of that merge. This view will allow you to play or delete those
other parts of the merge.
- Pressing Green on a clash timer in the Archive will switch to an Archive view showing all other
timers that are preventing that timer from being set. From this view you can choose to delete
or exclude those other timers, in order to be able to set the clash timer. This screen will show
all timers that clash with the target timer, and should any of those timers have been set by a CT
then this screen will also show you all other timers set by that CT. This enables you to see
which programmes are best excluded (knowing that they will are already set to record by another
timer).
- Pressing Pause in any Archive screen will jump to each current clash timer in turn.
- New option to control the behaviour when MyStuff is playing part of a merged recording. You can now
decide if MyStuff should continue to play part 2 of the merge when it has finished playing part 1.
- New option to make the Archive footer display free disk space including reclaimable space in
the Recycle Bin.
- Faster access to the Archive, EPG and Options screens.
- Support for the AccurateBookmark TAP
- (FIXED) Sometimes when MS should be asking you to enter the PIN to unlock a locked timer, it may
instead display the channel LCN changing screen. This is probably especially the case if you
got to the timer edit screen via the EPG, rather than via the Archive
- (FIXED) The percentage jumping screen (ie the thing you get when you enter numbers during (chase) playback)
will accept 3 digits, but will interpret them as eg 999% (although it will of course only jump
to 100%) whereas it may be better to treat them as eg 99.9%
- (FIXED) If you turn off the MyStuff volume bar option then you need to restart the Toppy before the
native volume bar will appear again
- (FIXED) Occasionally when flipping through the skins in Options, MyStuff will crash
- (FIXED) Pressing Play on N&N when it is showing information for the current programme displays the Buffer
Recording dialogue box. It probably should do nothing in this case.
- (FIXED) Stopping radio playback withing the first 30 seconds or so may crash the Toppy
- (FIXED) Having a Y Offset value (Q4) too large (positive or negative) may make MS crash when displaying
some screens
- (FIXED) Deleting (or waiting for MyStuff to delete from the Recycle Bin) files that contain multiple dots -
eg "I'm a Celebrity....Get me out of here.rec" - can crash the toppy as a result of a known API bug.
- (FIXED) Selectng multiple part-viewed files in the Archive, and pressing Stop twice to reset them to unviewed
may not fully redraw each line, leaving each one drawn partly in the viewed colours, and partly in the
unviewed colours
- (FIXED) When MS automatically tries to set (or extend) a timer to catch eg the part of a film after the
news when you manually set the timer for the part before the news, then MS will report that it
has set this timer, even if it has failed to do so because of clashes with other timers
- (FIXED) If you press SlowMo from N&N on the currently broadcasting programme, which will show the Edit
CT screen, you may then get the top right corner of the screen showing through the Edit CT screen.
- (FIXED) The part-viewed status of a recording may be lost if you delete a different file from the Archive.
- (FIXED) If you stop the first part of a merge recording when the second part has already started recording
then MS should warn you that it will also stop the following recording, but it won't.
- (FIXED) Disk spins up every 15mins or so, even when all disk related options are set to Off/No/Never.
- (FIXED) On TF5700PVRt models, the MS volume bars do not appear, although the volume
does change.
- (FIXED) On TF5700PVRt models, the native Toppy archive is not accessible by pressing
Archive when in the MS archive, even when that option has been set.
- (FIXED) Using the colour keys and the playback bar to edit a recording can cause the Toppy to lock up
or crash.
- (FIXED) If using keep values with CTs such that you end up with merged recordings in one file where
some of the merge parts should be deleted (because of the keep value set on the CT), then those
recordings are not always deleted. Editing the CT (to change any value to itself) will tidy up
correctly, and delete those recordings that should be deleted.
- (FIXED) Lots of other minor bugs
- Changes to the API. CTDELETEBOTH, CTDELETETIMERS and CTDELETECT have been removed, and replaced
with CTDELETE, which does what CTDELETEBOTH did in 5.5. Also added TIMERDELETEALL_ALL (to delete
all timers), TIMERDELETEALL_CT (to delete all timers set by a CT) and TIMERDELETEALL_R (to delete
all timers that were not set by a CT)
- Semi-integration of simonc's RecordingFixer
such that pressing OK or Play on a file in BadFiles will launch RecordingFixer (assuming that
MyStuff can find RecordingFixer.tap in ProgramFiles, ProgramFiles\Tools, ProgramFiles\System,
ProgramFiles\TAPs or ProgramFiles\Taps) to allow you to fix those bad files. The next
activation of the Archive will then refresh itself, and detect that those files have been fixed.
- Pressing White on the BadFiles folder will allow you to delete all the files in BadFiles in one
go (like pressing White on the RecycleBin)
- Change to nag method employed in this (and all subsequent versions). 5.51 will start nagging on
01/06/2010. What will then happen is the first time you access EPG/N&N/Archive 10 minutes after
MyStuff start then the EPG/N&N/Archive will display the nag message. It will not (as previous
versions did) change which MyStuff screen you get (if you press Guide you will get the EPG). This
will then happen again once every 24 hours (or again 10 minutes after the next MyStuff start
should MyStuff be stopped in the meantime)
- Fix for Flat View file deletion bug
- Move To Folder now extended to allow you to move files through more than one folder, eg you can now
move a file from DataFiles to DataFiles/Films/SciFi/Manga in one go, without having to do one move for
each folder
- If you try to delete a non-empty folder MyStuff will now prompt you to confirm, and if you do so it will
delete that folder and all files/folders within it
- CTs can now be told to lock all matching files. This will mean that all recordings will need the PIN
to be entered before they can be played/moved/deleted using MyStuff (if you enter the normal Toppy
archive then they will not be locked)
- Current (P) implemented as a start channel for EPG
- Description searching in CTs
- Optional Recycle bin - basic implementation so far
- Pressing Rec in Archive will take you to each current recording in turn
- Pressing Green on a CT in the Archive will take you to a list of all timers that were set by that
CT (this also works for Off CTs, even though Off timers are not normally shown in the Archive)
- Pressing Green on a CT set timer in the Archive will now take you to the CT that set that timer
- Optional display of an 'O' icon on all programmes in EPG/N&N that would be matched by an OFF CT
- Optional API - other TAPs/external programs can now tell MyStuff to perform certain operations. This currently
consists of commands to modify/create/delete CTs, but the list will be added to during development
- (Optional) MyStuff now outputs files detailing all timers, CTs and current activity (ie playback,
recording, live)
- Improved file deletion boxes now let you know if you are about to delete a recording that contains
programmes that you have not viewed
- Optional QuickDelete - stopping playback can now prompt you to delete the file
- Virtual recordings/timers - if you have b2b CT set timers then MyStuff can now optionally combine them
into one timer, but show them as two seperate rows in the Archive. When this recording has completed, MyStuff
will then show two (or of course more than two if the timer covered more than two programmes) rows in the
recordings Archive, and allow you to play/delete each of them independently. Each such "virtual" recording
will have full pre and post padding added
- Optional QuickRewind - if you resume a playback of a file when it has already been viewed above a
certain amount (specified in options) then MyStuff will ask if you want to rewind it to the start (in case
it was someone else in your household who has watched the recording and you don't want to run the risk of
accidentally seeing who has won/lost/been fired/been voted off/etc)
- Manual (ie non CT set) timers can now be set to be locked and to be moved into a folder on
completion (eg locking/autofiling can now be applied to both manual timers and CT timers)
- Option to suppress (or to skin) the Toppy "Playback Stopped" message when playback ends
- Sequential playback - selecting multiple recordings in the Archive (from the same folder) and then
pressing Play will start playing each of those files in turn (in the order in which you selecting them)
- Optional automatic creation of an EPG Scan timer (of a channel, time and duration specified in the
options) if one is not already set. MyStuff will create this time (if needed) on each startup, thus ensuring
that you always have one, even after a full system reset
- During Loading.... and Searching... OSDs (or when MyStuff would be displaying those OSDs if the option
to display them was on!) you can now press Vol Up/Down, Ch Up/Down, Mute or any of the number keys. MyStuff
will suspend what it was doing, and allow the Toppy to handle those keys. 5 seconds (or so) after key
inactivity (and if no OSD is now displayed) MyStuff will continue with the process.
- Recordings now autofile immediately, rather than when they finish recording.
- Pressing Rec in the recordings Archive goes to a screen that only shows active recordings
(and subequent merge parts of those recordings). This screen allows you to delete, stop & play
those recordings as per normal. Pressing Rec again will switch back to the normal view.
- Much faster searching (on all searches except the first one after loading EPG data). Removed Search
This and Search All options, and replaced with Search
- Skinned volume bar
- Skinned Select Recording To Stop box
- Skinned LCN channel change box.
- Skinned Start Recording box with extended functionality. Pressing Rec when no OSD is visible will
now allow you to start recording from the current programme start, or the timeshift buffer start,
and include the following programmes if you want.
-
- Pressing Rec when you are already recording something will allow you to change the duration of
that recording.
- New virtual folder BadFiles, will show all recordings that MS normally hides (zero size, invalid
header, etc), so that you are at least aware of them.
- Currently Selected Skin available to other TAPs to use without needing access to MyStuff options.
- Logo selection on Favourite Lists.
- Comments now supported in Favourite Lists.
- Support for R2-D2’s RemExt patch.
- Date-stamping on file names when moving to a folder.
- Auto-deletion of programmes based on recording count, so you can set a CT to only keep eg the
5 most recently recorded episodes of the matching programme.
- New skin elements: IconOffForeground, IconOffBackground and IconRecordLaterBackground
- OTA Firmware Detection. A * will flash next to the clock on EPG/N&N when an OTA broadcast is detected.
- Bug fixes

- Fix for crash when selecting the new Create [Folder Name] option in Move To Folder
Return to top
- Fix for turning PowerOff handling off, or then trying to turn it back on again
- Fix for creating your own All Radio channel list not stopping MyStuff creating its own
- Fix for setting N1 to All TV or All Radio not being remembered across Toppy
shutdowns/MyStuff activations.
- Fix for Now&Next not appearing on startup (even if B3 set to Yes)
- Creating a new folder in Archive will now default the name of the new folder to be the same
as the name of the currently selected item
- Pressing Record in Timer edit will save the timer, regardless of the selected item in the dialog box
- Pressing Yellow on a recording will now preselect the folder of the same name (if it exists), whilst
still allowing you to choose another folder. If that folder does not currently exist, then the Move To Folder
list will now start with eg Create [The Simpsons], and selecting this will create a folder called The Simpsons
and then move the selected recording to that folder
- Fix for problem when K2=List and K6=Info and you press List from ExtendedInfo
Return to top
- Updates to make MyStuff radio friendly via EMJB's excellent
OneList TAP
(which is recommended for all MyStuff users)
- MyStuff will now handle Tv/Radio key presses in EPG/N&N (and optionally when no OSDs are
visible), and will change from viewing tv channels to radio channels and vice versa
- Auto creation of All TV and All Radio channel lists (which can be replaced by user defined
lists to remove unwanted channels). These lists are then used when handling the Tv/Radio button.
- Screensaver optionally enabled for live radio, and always enabled for radio playback
- Improved screensaver, clock now updates (as does progress if watching live radio)
- Fix for radio recording file sizes being reported incorrectly
- (Slightly) improved radio playback jumping using the colour keys
- Fix for chase play from Archive
- Fix for setting of F7 being the wrong way round!
- Fix for repeated presses of Volume keys bringing up Now&Next
- Fix for N&N using B4 rather than B5 after you have pressed a key when it has displayed automatically
- New PowerOff options to specify how verbose MyStuff should be when displaying messages
- Extended Info scrolling changed, so that page 1 shows eg lines 1-10, and page 2 shows lines 11-15
- Improved logo loading, and logos now remain in memory at all times, so now more delays when activating
EPG/Archive views
- Other bug fixes
- OK is now renabled as a button for Now&Next, but pressing OK in EPG will change channels rather than
activating the Now&Next chain
- Fixes/Changes to allow both Now&Next chain and ExtendedInfo to use the Info key
- Added ExtendedInfo to Now&Next chain (kind of) if both set to use Info. So pressing
Info repeatedly (with N&N and ExInfo both set to Info) would go through: N&N screen 1, ExInfo, Hide ExInfo,
N&N screen 2, ExInfo, Hide ExInfo, N&N screen 3 etc
- Fixes for all (reproducable!) 5.0 crashes
- Fixes for all minor 5.0 quirks/bugs, eg MyStuffShortChannelNames bug, Multi User bug
- New option (L5) to force CTs to be reloaded when checking for new mei data files, even if MyStuff decides
not to reload the mei file
- New option (G7) to allow << / >> to jump to timers set for the previous/next day when in Timers by Date in
Archive
- In CT edit box there is a new Action to Save (Search This) which will save the CT and search for
new timers for that CT only. This is much quicker than the current Action, which has been renamed to
Save (Search All) which saves the CT and searches for new timers for all CTs. This makes it easier
to edit multiple CTs quickly, though you may then need to do a Red search at the end to make sure that other
CTs get searched (in case they can now set new timers as a result of changes you have made to the others)
- New option in H7 to display Total Duration and Remaining % in Archive for part viewed recordings
- New option (H9) to display Flat View/Folder View in recordings Archive. This allows you to see all recordings
on one page, regardless of the folder they are in. So for instance, selecting the root (DataFiles) folder in
Recordings by Date, and then selecting Flat View, will show you all recordings on your Toppy in date
order (regardless of folder), which will allow you easily to see which ones are new
- New option (M7) to disable MyStuff PowerOff handling
- Fairly significant speed ups in the CT Searching routines. A full search of all of my CTs used to take
about 13 seconds, now takes about 4 seconds

- New option to hide the Description Area in the Archive (for all screens, or only for recordings/timers)
- New EPG style, 6 channels, small font
- New EPG duration, 1.5 hours
- Display Clash Timers (those that cannot be set because of clashing with other timers) and Excess Timers (those that
cannot be set because there are already 70 timers set) using different logos in Archive
- Timer Optimisation: Attempts to overcome the inbuilt Toppy limit of 70 timers in total. MyStuff
will allow you to have up to 70 real timers (CT's or One-Off's, recording
and watch style timers) at any point in the same day, whilst still
preserving your intention to record programs later on in your schedule. MyStuff
achieves this by automatically converting CT set timers furthest out in your schedule, to
Excess Timers, allowing it to set a timer for an earlier program. Then as time moves on and your timer count
drops below 70, MyStuff will convert those Excess Timers back to CT timers.
- File and folder sizes displayed in Archive
- New option to specify interval to reload EPG data and ControlTimers, and to do another search (which will adjust
all currently set timers in the event of programme changes)
- New file (MyStuffPin.ini) that can hold firmware addresses so that MyStuff can be updated to locate
PIN number in new firmwares, without having to issue a new .tap file

- MyStuff will no longer load MEI information for radio channels, and will no longer try (and fail) to set timers on
radio channels
- Pressing Play or Record in Now&Next screen when playing back a recording will no longer try to set a timer
- Update CT timer count when delete timers from CT archive screen
- Fix for problem of setting timers for programs that start exactly at the start of the CT time window
- Change to footer skin element to colour more elements
- Fix for X Offset less than -5 causing screen redraw problems
- Change to CT keywords. Removed _, and added new option to specify Match Exactly/Anywhere/At Start/At End
- When switching from CT archive to Timer archive (or vice versa) select an appropriate timer (or CT)
- Pressing Record in EPG on a program that has finished will no longer try to set a timer, but will create a CT
instead
- Fix to read in Jags 3.0 style export file
- CT Record Yes/No now changed to Type: Record/Watch/Off, where Off will keep the CT, but not actually set any
timers from it. Useful for when you want to deactivate a CT for a while
- Timer Record Yes/No now changed to Type: Record/Watch
- Animation added to "Loading Data" box, and box moved to top left of screen
